Sony Malaysia has finally set the date to launching the new Sony Xperia Z on March 6th and expected to be sell right after the launch. About the price, Sony Mobile Malaysia hasn't set it yet but in Singapore Xperia Z is around SGD 988 or RM2470 in our Ringgit value.

the Xperia Z has a 5″ Full HD display that’s mated with a Quad-Core Qualcomm S4 Pro 1.5GHz processor and 2GB of RAM. In the camera section, the camera boast a new 13MP shooter which also shoots video in HDR mode. 3 colours are available – Black, White and Purple which looks rather gorgeous. Furture detail about this phone will only be revealed at the launch event.

Maxis launched two 4G long-term evolution (LTE) smartphones - the Nokia Lumia 920 and HTC One XL. These will be the first two smartphones to be activated on Maxis' 4G LTE network.

"Available at Maxis centres in Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre and Taman Tun Dr Ismail, customers can purchase the Nokia Lumia 920 from only RM1,099 with surfmore 75 plan or talkmore78 with 3GB mobile Internet and HTC One XL from RM1,199 with surfmore 75 or talkmore78 plan with 3GB mobile Internet.

"We look forward to launching more smartphones and tablets this year on Maxis' 4G LTE network, so customers can enjoy the most superior on-the-go experience," said Maxis Joint Chief Operating Officer Suren J Amarasekera.

Maxis only offers 12 month contract for the iValue Simple plan. As the new plan is now the entry-level plan bundled with the iPhone 5, you get to enjoy unattractive subsidies of between RM 100 to RM 120 on iPhone 5 models.

iPhone 5 16GB is cheaper by RM 120 at RM 2,079 apiece, meanwhile iPhone 5 32GB and 64GB cost RM 110 and RM 100 less at RM 2,389 and RM 2,699 respectively. For older iPhones, in case you are interested, cost RM 1,769 for iPhone 4S 16GB and RM 1,239 for iPhone 4 8GB.

The new Samsung Galaxy Camera looks impressive on paper especially with its WiFi & 3G connectivity and the endless application possibilities on an Android platform. Samsung Galaxy Camera will be Priced at RM1,899. The new Samsung Galaxy Camera is powered by a quad-core 1.4GHz Samsung Exynos processor and boasts a 16-megapixels CMOS sensor that is paired together with a 21x optical zoom lens. Runs on Android 4.1 a.k.aJelly Bean, the camera is also equipped with a 4.3-inch touch display and support for data connectivity via cellular network as well as Wi-Fi.

For the celcom costumers the price started from RM1,499 on its Celcom First Data Lite plan. The recently launched Galaxy Camera retails outright at RM1,899. At RM48/month, the data plan offers 1.5GB of data with download speeds up to 1.5Mbps.

There are 12 months and 24 months option available with the device going at RM1,599 (12 months) and RM1,499 (24 months) respectively. An upfront payment of RM200 is required during registration which will be rebated across 10 months.
